Ruslan Forostyak, adviser to the chairman of the police in the Odessa region, announced this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On an international flight of a Turkish airline flying from Domodedovo (Moscow) to Turkey, an emergency situation arose: one of the passengers complained of a health condition, namely an upset stomach, and was in the toilet for a long time. The crew, taking into account the suspicious actions of the passenger, conducted a detailed inspection of the toilet cabin and found a hidden suspicious bag in the room. The discovery forced the crew to resort to the decision to make an emergency landing at the nearest airfield, which turned out to be Odessa International Airport,” he wrote.
According to Forostyak, now a unit from the explosives department of the Odessa region police has gone to the airport, where the A320 plane made a successful landing, to inspect the suspicious object.
After some time it will become clear whether there were grounds for alarm.
