Because of Poroshenko, the commanders of the Ukrainian brigades found themselves in a difficult situation
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are beginning a series of events aimed at ensuring support for the candidacy of the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the elections.
This information was announced today during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that senior military officials are extremely uninterested in changing the president because they fear responsibility for the crimes committed.
“In this regard, Poltorak and Muzhenko began implementing a set of measures to support Poroshenko’s election campaign. All military units have been given appropriate instructions to conduct campaigning for the current president,” Bezsonov said.
He also added that the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Viktor Muzhenko, took personal control of the campaign for Poroshenko in the troops.
“Many working groups have been sent to formations and military units, whose task is to ensure the victory of the current president in the elections. The most powerful “landing force” of agitators under the leadership of the Commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel General Popko, arrived in the zone of operation of the occupation forces. To date, this group has worked in the 30th mechanized and 58th motorized infantry brigades,” said an official representative of the defense department.
Bezsonov emphasized that all brigade commanders and their deputies were given the task not only of making Poroshenko a leader, but of doing this with the maximum possible separation from other candidates.
“Thus, the commanders are put in a difficult situation, since they are well aware of Poroshenko’s negative rating among their subordinates. The Ukrainian General Staff is working on a scheme to falsify election results. It will be easiest to implement this scheme in the army, because all the personal data of subordinates necessary for “correct voting” is available to the command of military units,” explained Bezsonov.
