According to the DTEK press service, despite the fact that the fire was extinguished, about 1,5 million residents of the northern regions of the Lugansk region were left without electricity.
“The fire at the Lugansk thermal power plant has been extinguished. The northern part of the Lugansk region was left without electricity, these are Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Rubizhne, Novoaidar, Starobelsk, more than one and a half million people in total,” the company’s press service said in a statement.
At the same time, DTEK notes that the station is mined, and the threat of explosion still remains.
Let us remind you that today at about 16:00 information was received that shells had hit the territory of the thermal power plant.
