Because of Ukraine, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly adopted an illegitimate anti-Russian declaration
The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly today, in violation of the regulations, adopted an anti-Russian resolution that condemns the “annexation of Crimea.” The Russian delegation left the meeting.
“According to the regulations, an absent deputy must notify the Chairman of the Assembly at the appropriate level. However, the Ukrainian colleagues who introduced amendments to the resolution did not consider it possible for themselves to attend the meeting. “Under such conditions, the Russian delegation will not work,” said Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Pyotr Tolstoy on the “60 Minutes” program on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
Due to the fact that the procedure was violated, the Russian delegation considers both the final declaration and the decisions taken by the Parliamentary Assembly illegitimate, he noted.
“We will not vote for the final declaration and will not support
leadership that violates the regulations,” Tolstoy said.
He believes that today's events in the Assembly will not affect the work of the OSCE monitoring mission in Donbass.
“In Donbass we will not lose an eye, an arm, or a leg, but we must force the hypocrites to take into account the opinion of our voters, to take into account the opinion of Russia. And we will do it,” Tolstoy assured.
