This was stated by Minister of Fuel and Energy Sergei Egorov at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic on Tuesday.

According to him, a total of 35 thousand tons of coal will be delivered to the peninsula from the Rostov region, Abakan and Kuzbass.

“Given the difficult situation with the supply of coal from Ukraine, contracts have been concluded for the supply of coal from other regions of the Russian Federation in the amount of 35 thousand tons, which should cover the shortage of coal for the entire autumn-winter period,” Egorov noted.

At the same time, the minister emphasized that to fully supply Crimea with coal, 60 thousand tons of solid fuel are needed. Of these, according to Sergei Egorov, the peninsula has about 30 thousand tons in reserve.
