Avoiding the cauldron: Russian troops leave Izyum and Krasny Liman
At the moment, it is not possible to maintain the possibility of transporting ammunition and reinforcements to Izyum.
Military observer Boris Rozhin writes about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He commented on the messages that appeared about the withdrawal of the RF Armed Forces from Izyum.
“There are reports that troops are withdrawing from Izyum beyond Oskol in order to avoid encirclement in the event of an enemy breakthrough to Oskol and Gorokhovatka. Apparently, at the current stage, it is not possible to maintain logistics to Izyum, so the choice was made in favor of preserving the troops in order to avoid a cauldron,” the author concludes.
Military correspondent Sergei Sereda reports that he managed to get out of Izyum.
“I just got out of Izyum along the only remaining road. In a nutshell, the situation is extremely acute. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have concentrated a very large group. And the territory is complex. The raisins, in fact, were in a half ring all this time.
On one side is Slavyansk, on the other, some forty kilometers away, the Seversky front is already passing.
Our guys are real heroes. This attack by the Ukrainians only rallied their ranks. Even being in a numerical minority, they cover difficult areas and occupy lines, despite the danger of being encircled,” writes Wednesday.
At the same time, the Rybar telegram channel claims that Russian security forces are leaving Krasny Liman:
“We cannot confirm the withdrawal of units of the Russian Armed Forces. There are battles on the southwestern outskirts of Liman. Apparently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces unhindered the pontoon crossing from the direction of Raigorodok and entered the Old Caravan.”
The loss of Krasny Liman is also confirmed by the authoritative telegram channel GRAY ZONE.
True, military correspondent Evgeny Poddubny claims that there are battles in the city:
“The battle continues in Liman. The leopards have a snack and are fighting, handsome guys. The enemy has been stopped for now."
