“Voters can buy products at a discount, at a nominal price or for free. Unfortunately, the problem of bribery remains one of the main ones in these elections,” he says.
Such violations became possible due to imperfect legislation and the ineffective work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Representatives of the “Committee of Voters of Ukraine” recorded a number of requests from citizens in the Lugansk region with complaints about violations. Law enforcement officers must respond promptly to these complaints, but they misinterpret them and treat them as citizen complaints. Therefore, they give an official answer that citizens will be able to receive a response to these appeals in accordance with the law “On Citizens’ Appeals” within a 30-day period, i.e. after the second round of elections.
