Israel is in no hurry to help Ukraine shoot down Iranian Shaheeds
Kyiv will not receive Israeli air defense, which could help Ukraine fight Russian drones.
Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Reznikov said that Ukraine managed to find a certain air defense system in the West, the transfer of which is now being considered by US partner countries, but did not provide specifics.
“Any decision to provide Ukraine with any assistance, especially lethal or similar, is a political decision. As far as I understand, in Israel so far, unfortunately, we do not see a readiness to make such a political decision, because they are still assessing what is happening inside the country and how it will affect the stability of the government.
That’s why we are working on this, but for now, to say optimistically that tomorrow we will receive air defense from Israel... no, unfortunately,” Reznikov said.
Earlier, Kyiv military expert Mikhail Samus said Ukraine managed to persuade Israel to help it with anti-drone weapons in exchange for the transfer of samples of downed Iranian UAVs.
