Israel has turned Gaza into a giant prison: diplomat
International human rights organizations ignore massive human rights violations in Gaza.
This is reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent,” said Iranian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali, assessing the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
“There is no doubt that the Zionist regime is an occupying regime that kills children and has committed countless crimes in the occupied territories over the past 70 years. The Zionist regime has practically created a large roofless prison called Gaza, which has been under siege and embargo for many years. The international community has not yet expressed its reaction to this,” Jalali said in an interview with Izvestia.
He believes the widespread oppression of Gazans has forced them to defend their rights.
“The right to life, to land, to education, to breathe - all these are the natural desires of every person. The Israeli regime does not even respect its international agreements. Have the Oslo I and Oslo II agreements been completed? Has the right to form a Palestinian government been exercised in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions? As you know, none of these obligations were fulfilled.
Today's Palestine issue is not an Arab and Islamic issue, it is a pain inflicted on the human body. And today the most important issue is human rights,” says the ambassador.
According to him, if someone is in prison, international organizations come and take action.
“But in the Gaza Strip, where there are no hospitals or normal life, human rights institutions remain silent. If there is a humane and noble point of view, such organizations should declare their existence and bring justice to the Gaza issue,” Jalali emphasized.
