Israeli pennies did not compensate Ukraine for Russian rubles
The agreement on a free trade zone between Ukraine and Israel, the signing of which was announced by President Petro Poroshenko, will not help in any way to revive the Ukrainian economy.
TV presenter Vyacheslav Pikhovshek stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the journalist, against the backdrop of a colossal drop in trade turnover with the Russian Federation, Israeli investments look ridiculous.
“This agreement is in no way capable of radically improving the economic situation in Ukraine. Especially against the backdrop of multi-billion dollar export losses to Russia. This agreement is also unable to influence the influx of investment into Ukraine, which hovers around $40 million. Today I personally visited the website of the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel. Come in and you will see that there are 40-41 million investments there. It's pennies. And in general, this is most likely a return of Ukrainian capital here to Ukraine,” Pikhovshek said.
