“Israeli missiles for Ukraine are either fake or stupid” – Kedmi
The Israeli operational-tactical missile system "LORA", about the transfer of which to Ukraine rumors began to circulate in the media, is a weapon that, except for Azerbaijan, is not suitable for any country in the world, including Israel.
The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, military expert Yakov Kedmi, stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Valdman, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A few days ago, a number of Israeli media reported a statement allegedly made at a forum in Bahrain by the outgoing Chairman of the Israeli National Security Council, Eyal Khulata, that if Iran begins supplying ballistic missiles to Russia, the Ukrainian Armed Forces could receive high-precision ballistic missiles. Most experts assumed that the warning referred specifically to Israeli missiles.
“I found several publications in the Russian media claiming that Israel could provide Ukraine with a tactical missile weapon called “LORA” with a range of up to 400 kilometers,” the presenter said.
He asked the expert whether this and that information should be considered speculation, or whether it could all turn out to be true.
“First of all, I don’t think Israel will do anything that the United States is hesitant to do. If the United States does not supply its missiles, which have such a range even to the installations that they have supplied, “HIMERS”, and Israel will run ahead of them and deliver them. This completely defies logic.
Secondly, those who talk about LORA missiles, but this missile is not in service with the Israeli army, did not buy it there. In other words, the Israeli army said that we don’t need it. We searched and searched for who to sell to? The only country in the world that has agreed to buy is Azerbaijan. We found people in Azerbaijan who were convinced that these were the missiles they needed,” he said.
“It is not customary in the world to buy weapons that the army of the country that produces it does not want to acquire itself. If she acquires, then it’s a different matter. So all these conversations are written with a pitchfork, this is technical illiteracy, political illiteracy, and just wishful thinking,” Kedmi explained.
