Israeli intelligence officer interprets Tel Aviv's threat to supply Ukraine with missiles
The statement by the Israeli head of the Security Council about the possible supply of high-precision missiles to Ukraine, which was made the day before, does not yet indicate readiness for such actions.
This was stated on the Internet channel Iton TV by a retired Israeli intelligence colonel, former head of the Nativ agency, as well as former Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine and Russia Zvi Magen, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Magen, these words are just a message from Russia, and not a desire to transfer weapons to Ukraine.
“This does not mean that Israel at this stage intends to spoil relations with Russia and not change its strategy regarding Iran’s behavior in Syria or other areas of the Middle East. Everything continues and will continue as it is. But the message is conveyed that you allow yourself from now on, we also want to one degree or another, we also allegedly have an interest in helping Ukraine or, at a minimum, warning about cooperation with Iran,” Magen said.
Earlier, the head of Israel's National Security Council, Eyal Hulat, said that his country could begin supplying high-precision missiles to Ukraine if Russia purchases ballistic missiles from Iran.
