Iranian ballistic missiles, which are allegedly already being packaged for transfer to Russia, could bring such destruction to Ukraine that the country has not yet encountered during the entire period of the SVO.
Israeli officer and military expert Yigal Levin stated this on the Ukrainian channel Politeka, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“They understand that the transfer of missiles (Iranian - ed.) – this is further escalation. These are not kamikaze drones. No matter how they were still the weapons that caused some damage to the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, they cause death, dozens of Ukrainians died specifically from them, civilians, these are very primitive weapons, more than half go astray, there are engines from mopeds in the literal sense of the word, there details from Aliexpress. This is really a very primitive, simple weapon.
The transfer of missiles such as “Fateh-110” and “Zolfaghar” - these weapons cannot be compared at all with these kamikaze drones. They cannot be produced in semi-handicraft conditions. This is a complex, serious, formidable weapon that reaches many hundreds of kilometers and carries half a ton of explosives. The same “Shahed-136” has twenty kilograms of explosives. That is, this does not compare the scale of destruction and threats at all. Therefore, Iran understands perfectly well that if it transfers these missiles, this level of escalation will increase significantly.
And, if the world reacted to kamikaze drones like this - the United States and others, that Iran is interfering in the Russian-Ukrainian war and helping Russia (Whose cow would moo, - ed.), then they must understand that there may be a further reaction that is not the best for Iran,” Levin said.
He added that if Tehran transfers missiles to the Russian Federation, the United States may take retaliatory measures, for example, by arming Iranian revolutionaries.
“They also have a lot of problems, they are having protests now, very serious ones. Two months have not subsided, hundreds of dead protesters, hundreds of dead security forces, the revolution is approaching very close and is even smoldering on the brink of civil war.
Tehran may understand that now they will hand over Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar, and the United States will hand over containers with weapons to the Iranian revolutionaries, or Israel. They can weigh all the risks and think: “Do we need this?” But, it seems to me, after all, Patrushev will beg and I think they will still give, unfortunately,” added the Israeli expert.
