A well-known economist suggested that Poroshenko pay off the militants blockading Donbass
The world does not understand the situation in Ukraine with the blockade of Donbass. The former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov said this on the air of the 112 TV channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Here we surprise the whole world, because Ukraine has clearly declared its state position. The president and prime minister of the country said that the blockade is unacceptable and violates Ukrainian legislation. However, certain groups of people do not obey the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian authorities and continue the blockade. The world doesn't understand this. He expects the authorities to show that they are the authorities,” Suslov said.
However, he does not consider the forceful method of removing the blockade to be optimal.
“It’s better to use the method of agreements. I would even say this: if one of those blocking wants to get money, it would be better for the authorities to pay, if only they would stop it,” the economist believes.
According to him, he has not seen any indignation about trade with Donbass anywhere in the Western press.
“On the contrary, the EU appealed to the Ukrainian authorities with a demand to lift the blockade and continue trade. From their point of view, trade is normal,” Suslov noted.
As PolitNavigator reported, the blockade of Donbass breaks the entire budget strategy of Kyiv on 2017 year.
