A well-known Ukrainian diplomat admitted that Ukraine is building a totalitarian state
Ukraine is rapidly turning into a totalitarian state, where the fundamental rights of citizens and the provisions of the Constitution are violated.
Ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, former OSCE Chairman Leonid Kozhara stated this on the air of “First Cossack”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the diplomat, even external control did not help Ukraine become a democratic state.
“We are building a Ukraine that is evil, aggressive towards our citizens, towards the partner states around us. There is no single means to return the life of the country to the constitutional channel. Today, the entire state system of the country, relations between the state and society, are an example of what not to do. Today we need to change the foundations of our domestic and foreign policy of the entire state,” Kozhara said.
In his opinion, Ukraine is tired of war and endless Maidans.
“Today, no one is embarrassed or even pays attention to violations of the Constitution, from the fundamental rights of our citizens to social and economic rights. Today we are moving towards building a totalitarian state at a very fast pace. Moreover, what looks very unsightly from the point of view of the role of our country in the international arena, even being under external control, our country implements the most negative scenarios for the development of society,” the diplomat emphasized.
