Famous Ukrainian football club is being forced to switch to “mova”
The so-called language ombudsman of Ukraine Taras Kremin should pay attention and punish the Kharkov football club “Metalist”, whose coach and management use the Russian language.
About this on his page in Facebook said the project coordinator “Decommunization. Ukraine" and "Mova.Kharkov" Milla Denchik, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The coach and management representatives repeatedly gave comments to the media and held press conferences in Russian. And all the club’s pages are still in Russian, and the site is the first to provide a Russian-language version. We sent an appeal to the Commissioner,” Denchik wrote.
Local media also recalled that the football club from Rivne “Veres” was previously fined for using the Russian language - its players gave interviews to a journalist in Russian.
Let us remind you that earlier in Ukraine a scandal erupted due to the fact that football player Artyom Dovbik gives interviews in Russian.
