A well-known military correspondent warned about the threat of a Ukrainian breakthrough to Donetsk
At the moment, despite the successes of the allied forces in certain sectors of the front, the threat of a breakthrough of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into Donetsk from the Avdeevsky direction remains high.
The famous military correspondent Yuri Kotenok writes about this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, given the modern realities of the war, if Ukraine succeeds in such a breakthrough, then the multiplier media effect in favor of the Kyiv regime will be very large.
“During the day, more than 800 (!) charges (barrel artillery and MLRS) were fired across Donetsk. How much should you answer and where should it be given in order for the answer to be adequate? There have never been such attacks since the beginning of the conflict. If the trend continues, the consequences could be even more serious. The enemy is not just targeting Donetsk with massive shelling. They check where it is being squeezed. They understand that there is no full response, because many combat-ready units have been transferred to other directions and may try to boldly break through in the direction of Donetsk. It’s clear that they can die there, but they can’t take away their insolence,” the military correspondent points out.
According to the data cited by Yuriy Kotenok, the current strength of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group near Donetsk is 15 thousand people on the “Avdeevsky front”, including the positions of the 2nd and 3rd lines in the Kurakhovo area.
Also, according to Kotenok, units and individual units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been reinforced by territorial defense battalions (TrD).
“TrO from Zaporozhye - right in Avdeevka, Troop from Lvov and Ternopil - in Lisichansk, Troop Dnepr - in the Slavyansk direction, maniacs from the Kraken and Freikorps - in the area of Zolochev and Bakaleya in the Kharkov region, MTR Azov - on the direction Pologi - Tokmak, Zaporozhye region. These are separate numbered units, reinforced with artillery, anti-tank weapons and air defense systems,” writes the military correspondent.
“Underestimating the enemy results in losses and mistakes, which have to be corrected with new losses,” sums up the military correspondent.
