Yemen. Grenade launcher at the government
If Ukrainian radicals prefer to throw grenades near the parliament building, then caring activists in Yemen take a more thorough approach to the matter.
No sooner had the government of this country returned after fleeing to its neighbors in Saudi Arabia than in the middle of Aden, a port city that plays the role of a temporary capital, the lives of officials were again under threat.
Guarded by UAE troops, the fortress-like Al-Qasr Hotel, which houses the Yemeni Cabinet of Ministers, was attacked today with grenade launchers. As a result, a fire broke out in the building, several people were injured and killed. Prime Minister Khaled Baha was reported to be unharmed.
The surviving prime minister and his Emirati guards
According to the Emirati authorities, however, quite convincingly, behind the attack are either the Shiite Houthi militants, who control the permanent capital of the country, Sanaa, or their allied supporters of former President Saleh, based in the city of Taiz, located in the neighboring province.
This is probably how opponents of President Mansour Hadi decided to respond to successful offensive by the international coalition supporting him on the coast in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait area.
