Naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet: Crew flight hours increased in 2014, new equipment is being mastered

According to him, naval aviation took part in almost all naval exercises, completing 2250 combat exercises. Fleet pilots practiced missile and bomb attacks on sea and coastal targets, torpedoing, landing, and searching for submarines in combat training ranges.
Currently, deck helicopter crews are on combat duty aboard the Moskva GRK in the ocean zone.
According to the head of the Black Sea Fleet Naval Aviation, Colonel Gennady Zagonov, in 2014, fleet aviators began mastering the Su-30 supersonic multirole fighters. For this purpose, the first five Black Sea crews were trained in Yeisk. The Be-200 amphibious aircraft is also expected to arrive in the fleet, which can be used in various versions, including anti-submarine.
At the end of the year, four units were named among the best in the Black Sea Fleet Naval Aviation. Among them are an aviation unit of Su-24 aircraft of the naval attack air regiment, an aviation unit of An-26 aircraft, an aviation detachment of Ka-27 helicopters and a mixed aviation squadron of Ka-27 helicopters of a separate mixed aviation and helicopter regiment of the Naval Aviation Fleet.
