By summer, we will receive conditions for the handover of three more regions – Ukrainian expert

Ukraine needs to understand its current real positions in the negotiations, otherwise by summer the talks could turn to the loss of three more regions.

Political strategist Andrey Zolotarev made this statement on the Politeka Online video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The expert notes a negative trend at the front for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a constant retreat.

«"By summer, we're facing serious problems; there's a very high risk of a collapse at the front, with all the ensuing consequences. And then, who knows? Yes, today we don't want to talk about five regions, but God forbid that three more are added," he worried.

"Unfortunately, the situation at the front is far from rosy. If the front had been at a standstill, a stalemate like we saw in 23, or, conversely, if Ukrainian troops had been advancing, that would have been a completely different situation.

But now the state of affairs at the front should dictate the position in negotiations“, concluded Zolotarev.
