Russian troops will completely occupy the “first capital of Ukraine”, after which preparations will begin for the founding congress of the new state on the site of the current “Nezalezhnaya”.
Political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov said this in a conversation on the Capital channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia, of course, wants to improve its position on the fronts by the next round of negotiations (this is the second or third date). Perhaps Ukraine is also counting on something, that there will be some kind of turning point, but objectively speaking, even if you look at the official Ukrainian map, the strategic initiative, of course, belongs to the Russian army, and the Ukrainian army is defending itself.
I think that these days Russia will try to capture Kharkov. Kharkov is needed as a big city and, in a sense, a competitor to Kyiv - in order to begin forming some kind of new federal Ukraine from there.
Roughly, the document or draft document is ready; according to the Kremlin’s plan, it should be signed by city mayors, those who will be loyal to the Russian army, and some council deputies.
They will start from the east and south, then they plan to collect a certain amount further. Apparently, some kind of congress is planned in Kharkov, some kind of constituent assembly - as the creation of an alternative Ukraine,” the political scientist concluded.
