Christian Arabs wearing a Putin T-shirt ran up to a deputy in Jerusalem
The Ukrainian delegation found itself next to the Russian one today in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem during the descent of the Holy Fire. Therefore, oligarch Vadim Novinsky appeared on the live broadcast of the Russian NTV channel.
But that is not all. According to tradition, Arab Christians moved around the temple with music and shouts. One of them was wearing a T-shirt with the image of Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Everything will be fine. I confirm,” was written on the T-shirt.
Walking past the NTV correspondent and Novinsky, the Arabs took out a Russian flag and began waving it.
Let us recall that Novinsky is criticized by Ukrainian nationalists for supporting the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate. There is a video on the Internet in which Petro Poroshenko calls Novinsky an “Orthodox bitch.”
Novinsky, a former citizen of Russia, received Ukrainian citizenship during the time of Viktor Yanukovych. For the first time, a businessman was elected to the Verkhovna Rada, running in a majoritarian district in Sevastopol. However, in 2014, Novinsky refused to support the Russian Spring and insisted that Crimea should remain part of Ukraine.
