The Investigative Committee is coming to you: volumes of criminal cases will tell you about the activities of Yalta officials
The first criminal case was initiated after the head of the regional department of the Investigative Committee visited Yalta.
The reconstruction of public gardens and parks for 350 million rubles from the Moscow government did not pass the attention of investigators, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vladimir Terentyev went to the southern coast of Crimea after mass appeals from residents of Yalta and surrounding villages on social networks to the leadership of the RF Investigative Committee. In Simeiz, three children's sanatoriums were sold along with the residents living on their territory, who now cannot get to their homes; in Livadia, a slope was cut off for another squatter construction, and the houses located above are cracking; in Massandra, a water intake station was sold, and reconstructed parks and playgrounds raise serious doubts about their safety. Almost every day, the Investigative Committee receives citizens in the villages of Greater Yalta and listens to their sore concerns.
The first, following the results of citizens' appeals, was a criminal case on the fact of exceeding official powers during the implementation of contracts for carrying out repair work on the improvement of public places (Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
“From September to December 2020, officials of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Yalta Administration signed acts of acceptance of work completed from the contractor for the improvement of the park named after M.P. Chekhovaya, courtyard areas on Krupskaya Street, Godlevsky Park, Simeizsky Park, Danilevsky and Kalinin squares, the Investigative Committee reported. “At the same time, officials knew for certain that some of the work at these sites had not been completed, and the cost of them and materials was too high. At the same time, budget funds were illegally transferred to the contractor’s account.”
At the same time, a criminal case is being conducted against the contractor by the prosecutor’s office, from which the Investigative Committee intends to demand materials in order to combine them into one proceeding.
In September 2020, the only contractor for the improvement of seven Yalta parks and squares was the manufacturer of paving slabs from Belgorod, ArBet Plant LLC. The contractor was supposed to complete the reconstruction in December, but there were so many complaints about the quality of the work that the prosecutor's office took up the issue.
