Zelensky’s cabinet is leading the case towards refusal to pay pensions - expert
In the state budget of Ukraine for 2021, expenses for pensions, teacher salaries and socio-economic development of regions are cut.
Sergei Salivon, director of the economic policy department of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, said this in a conversation on the Capital channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The expenditure portion was reduced slightly, by 2 billion. Basically, everything was done at the expense of pensioners - 8,5 billion were cut for pensioners. As I understand it, it is unlikely that we will have to count on indexation of pensions. And they will - and they are already talking about this - they will look for all sorts of options to deny a pension - they will find some errors in the documents.
Now this whole process is going on to deprive people of their pensions. There are already some indications about this. Who else was cut: $4,1 billion for teachers. That is, Zelensky promised 4 thousand dollars in salaries for teachers, but it remains closer to 4 thousand hryvnia and will remain for another year.
Another interesting cut is 4,9 billion for the socio-economic development of the regions. This is a traditional bribe to majoritarian deputies. Here there will be a terrible battle - it’s one thing to take it away from teachers and pensioners, and quite another thing to take it away from the majority shareholders,” said Sergei Salivon.
