The Cabinet of Ministers abolished state control over travel prices
In Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 240 came into force, which abolishes state and municipal regulation for all types of public transportation, except for railways.

According to the resolution, from the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1548 of December 25, 1996 “On establishing the powers of executive authorities and executive bodies of city councils regarding the regulation of prices (tariffs)” the rule that state executive authorities and executive bodies of city councils set transportation tariffs is removed passengers and luggage by buses operating in normal traffic mode, in suburban and intercity, intraregional traffic.
Thus, private carriers, who control the vast majority of the country's transport arteries, will be able to set prices for trips in accordance with their own ideas. Experts note that this will naturally lead to an increase in fares in all types of transport.
Let us remind you that from the second half of 2015 in Ukraine all previously existing benefits for paying for travel on public transport will be cancelled.
