The corresponding decision was enshrined in government decree 837-r dated September 10, 2014. “Remove Rudyk Sergei Yaroslavovich from exercising his powers as chairman of the State Agency of Land Resources of Ukraine,” the document says.
However, the reason for Rudyk’s removal is not reported.
As PolitNavigator reported, on September 14, Rudyk got into a corruption scandal in Dnepropetrovsk, where he tried to appoint Vadim Chuvpilo, who is the head of the Krivoy Rog department of the agency and was repeatedly accused by public activists of creating corruption schemes, to the post of head of the Main Directorate of the State Land Agency in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Rudyk was kidnapped by representatives of the Right Sector and wanted to be sent as a volunteer to the ATO zone. Deputy Governor of Dnepropetrovsk Boris Filatov approved such actions and said that this would happen to every corrupt official.
