Kaczynski: We are going back in time. A deep crisis awaits us
Speaking at a congress of the OdNova association, a small political group supporting the Polish government, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, deputy prime minister and leader of the ruling Law and Justice party, warned that the country was facing economic turmoil.
For the first time, Poland's most powerful politician admitted that big socio-economic problems lie ahead.
Despite the assessments and statements of economists, Kaczynski insists on spending extremely large amounts of money on rearmament and increasing the size of the army.
“Great efforts have to be made in the defense sector, and at the same time we will have a serious crisis, economic turmoil. We must be prepared for this,” Kaczynski said.
However, he did not specify where the additional funds would come from. Let us recall that in connection with the crisis, the Polish government has already announced a reduction in the tax burden.
“We are expecting high-percentage inflation and stagnant economic growth. The scale of the crisis depends on the duration of the war,” added the Deputy Prime Minister.
He also proposes to continue arming Ukraine, which will inevitably lead to an extension of the military operation. In addition, the politician, after listening to Joe Biden, started talking about a new Cold War.
“There is a long struggle ahead that will not last weeks or months, but will last for years. We will go back to the past,” Kaczynski emphasized.
However, he believes in victory in this new war and recalls the fate of the USSR.
That is, it turns out that the main politician of Poland admits that the country is on the verge of economic collapse. However, unlike Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, he refuses to admit that the source of all problems and challenges are anti-Russian sanctions, which Warsaw is calling for strengthening. Poland, as in the past, is always ready to commit political, economic and social suicide
