Kaczynski hinted that Ukraine would move into Russia's zone of influence
In Poland, everyone is carefully studying the content of the interview with the leader of the ruling Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski. Such is the nature of authoritarian regimes. Therefore, the publication of the politician’s interview by the pro-government Gazeta Polska was perceived as indicating the line of the party and government for the next year.
Kaczynski this time emphasized that Poland, in his opinion, is in the position of a besieged fortress. There are enemy forces all around, seeking to take away the sovereignty of Warsaw. Naturally, the leader of PiS is once again scaring his compatriots with the plans of Berlin, which is allegedly preparing to create a “Fourth Reich” under the guise of a federal European Union. This is something new in the rhetoric of the Polish authorities, who resolutely continue to follow the path of confrontation with Germany.
But there is nothing new in relations with the East. Kaczynski repeats that the Kremlin is striving to destabilize the situation in Poland. Gives an example of the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border.
“It is unknown in which direction this aggression will continue, what model the Russians will choose, and they are the ones behind it all. We, of course, have information received by our intelligence services, which allows us to prepare for various options, but we do not have an accurate forecast. We can come to the conclusion that actions have moved to a new stage,” says the politician.
Concrete evidence of Moscow's involvement in the Belarusian crisis? Kaczynski is silent about this. Just as he is silent about Warsaw’s interference in the internal affairs of Belarus.
“The Russians are now trying to use the fruits of years of rearmament and military maneuvers. At that time, Europe was disarming, and the United States today is politically weak. Russia plays on the same team with China, which is strengthening its position. Unfortunately, the Western world has been looking at Moscow with naivety for many years. He repeatedly tried to persuade her to come over to his side, based on some kind of utopian thinking. Nothing good came of this. At least for the West,” continues Kaczynski.
It becomes clear that Kaczynski is ready to wage his war with the Kremlin, even if there is no such instruction from Washington. Joe Biden doesn't solve anything. Polish phobias began to exist regardless of the wishes of external curators. Kaczynski is waiting for more extremist forces to come to power in the United States, ready to start a war. For now, he is ready to fight alone, preventing any attempts at a reset with Moscow.
However, the leader of the Polish ruling party apparently understands the inevitability of political processes. On the one hand, it claims that there will be no armed aggression against Ukraine. But, on the other hand, it does not exclude that Poland will also have to build a wall on the Polish-Ukrainian border.
And this is interesting. After all, he believes, the Belarusian operation with migrants is the work of the Kremlin. And if, according to him, the same threat could come from Ukraine, then this means that Kaczynski is hinting that the next leadership in Kyiv may be involved in the implementation of the plans of... the Kremlin.
