...It would be completely wrong to use the removal of Purgin for another attack of speculation on the topic “Novorossiya was leaked.” Like, Purgin was against Minsk-2, and Pushilin, on the contrary, was for Minsk-2, and therefore for pushing Donbass into Ukraine. For this Purgin was removed.
Here, supporters of the conspiracy theory about the “draining of Novorossiya”, in support of their conspiratorial conclusions, cite the recent statement of Deinega (LPR representative in the Contact Group at the negotiations in Minsk) that he is in favor of transferring control over the border of the LDPR and Russia to Ukraine.
At the same time, these comrades do not understand that when Deinego talks about this, he is talking about a Ukraine that does not exist in nature, because a Ukraine that has fulfilled all the points of Minsk-2 will no longer be the former, fascist Ukraine.
Is this possible? No.
Therefore, Kyiv will never gain any control over the border. And then anyone who says that the removal of Purgin is a “drain of Novorossiya” is simply delusional.
Firstly, Purgin, like Pushilin, is a member of the Contact Group at the negotiations in Minsk. He recognizes Minsk-2 and has never opposed it. If you spoke, please provide a quote from him on this matter.
Secondly, his removal was not due to the fact that he resisted Minsk-2, or was against Zakharchenko, or anything else. There were no complaints against him until the very last moment. He was one of the leaders of the ruling party in the DPR - “Donetsk Republic”, that is, he belonged to the ruling nomenklatura of the republic.
Questions arose to him after he took under the protection of the head of the apparatus of the People's Council of the DPR, Alexey Alexandrov, who, as experts say, began to deal not with the affairs of the apparatus, but, on the contrary, with politics and exert political influence on the affairs of parliament. And this, according to the responsible officials of the republic, caused damage to the DPR. That’s why they decided not to let Alexandrov into the DPR.
Purgin stood up for him, which is why, in the end, he was removed from the post of chairman of the People's Council of the DPR. That's all.
Therefore, all speculation and crying about the “draining of Novorossiya” must stop. They will stop, I have no doubt, in the coming days.
Personally, I respect Purgin, one of the outstanding figures of the Russian Spring in Donetsk in 2014. It's a pity that this happened. But he has every opportunity, since he remains a deputy of the People’s Council, to continue political activities in the DPR and work for the good of the Republic, which he will do, I have no doubt.
