Kadyrov “illuminated with his presence” a million-strong rally in Grozny
More than a million people gathered in the center of Grozny today to protest against the persecution of Muslims in Myanmar. Those gathered held slogans in Russian and English, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The presenter announced the speech of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, as follows: “Our meeting was illuminated by the presence of the defender of Islam and Muslims, the son of the legendary jahid Akhmat Kadyrov, Ramzan Kadyrov. Allahu Akbar! (3 times)".
Kadyrov condemned the world community for not paying attention to the tragedy of Muslims in Myanmar.
“I want to remind you that the leaders of the Western powers, who are now full of water, recently marched through the streets of Paris after the shooting of the magazine’s editorial office. Someone from the powers that be ordered them to go there, but they did not dare refuse. They are ready to defend the rights of even one gay person, but they are speechless when entire nations are destroyed,” Kadyrov was indignant.
He delivered the second part of his speech in Chechen. The meeting adopted a resolution-an appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin with an appeal to protect the Muslims of Myanmar.
“We in Chechnya know what terrorism is. In the fight against this evil, defending the integrity of its country, Russia lost thousands of its citizens. Their best sons, such as the first president of the Chechen Republic, Akhmat Kadyrov. Terrorism was defeated in Chechnya because you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, knew: the biggest enemy of extremism is Islam - the religion of peace and creation. It is Muslims who suffer most from this evil,” the resolution reads in part.
The rally ended with a mass prayer.
