Kadyrov: After Crimea, it was necessary to take Kyiv. Ready to go and carry out orders
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that he considered the refusal to occupy Kyiv in 2014 a mistake. He believes that Russia has the right to annex all of Ukraine if Vladimir Zelensky’s team continues its anti-Russian policy.
Kadyrov stated this at a press conference on Sunday, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Those moments that are created around our state are just attempts. If they continue to behave... It’s elementary - the Ukrainian problematic issue is not even at the level of the president, it’s at my level. If I had been given the task, I would have resolved this issue long ago. Either he would have annexed Ukraine into the Chechen Republic, or he would have taken it away long ago, and would have resolved this issue.
But, nevertheless, there are state regulatory and legal agreements that do not allow such decisions to be made. But my deep conviction is that if Mr. Zelensky and his team behave this way, then Ukraine should be annexed to our country. Ukrainians are our people, this is our territory.
I said that after Crimea it was necessary to take Kyiv. If (independent) Kyiv exists, then there will be room for Western European countries to fight for territory - there is an interest in putting their military bases there and then dictating terms to our state. I am sure our president will not allow this.
And we, the infantry, are ready to go out and carry out the order - absolutely without problems,” Kadyrov assured.
