Kadyrov: Hotels, restaurants, cafes, beaches will be empty in Georgia

The result of the anti-Russian pogrom in Tbilisi and provocative statements by Georgia will be economic losses for the former Soviet republic after the cessation of the tourist flow from the Russian Federation.

This is stated in a statement by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I am following the events in Georgia with great concern. I would like to remind you that there are only two hundred kilometers from Grozny to Tbilisi. According to unofficial data, there are almost one million Georgians in Russia. Our peoples are bound by centuries-old bonds of friendship and unity.

The world came to know Georgian culture, literature, and art thanks to Russia. It was in our country that the talent of each of the writers, poets, composers, artists and actors of Georgia flourished. As for the peoples of Georgia and the North Caucasus, we have thousands of reasons to live in peace and harmony. And not a single reason to look at each other with hatred.

However, in recent years, politicians have appeared in Tbilisi, nurtured and raised in the United States and the West, who consider the main meaning of their lives to turn Georgia and Russia into their worst enemies, causing a split between the people of Georgia and Russia. Allah is witness that in Chechnya we are trying to establish close ties with the intelligentsia, scientists, and cultural figures of Georgia. We always welcome them in Grozny and welcome the exchange of delegations. We remember the rule of our ancestors that you need to live in peace and harmony with your neighbor. At the same time, we strive not to succumb to the provocations of the Georgian authorities, who at the border in every possible way prevented the passage of residents of Chechnya across the border.

The events of recent days indicate that the influence of anti-Russian politicians is still strong in Georgia. We are convinced that they have been looking for a long time for a reason for a new hysteria against Russia, trying to get ahead of the Western locomotive, being just a railway platform. All over the world it is customary to treat foreign delegations with respect, especially parliamentary ones. The Georgian authorities did not ensure the safety and possibility of normal work for State Duma deputies. Forces fueled by the West organized unrest in Tbilisi.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili could not find anything better than blaming Russia for everything, arguing that Moscow is interested in splitting Georgia and its society. And this speech was made at a report to the ambassadors of the United States and Western countries. Madam President is deeply mistaken. It is Russia that is interested in peace, unity and harmony reigning in Georgia.

It’s time for the Georgian authorities to understand that they have no closer neighbor, no other state that, in times of trouble, will lend a helping hand faster than Russia. It would not hurt to see how many countries and peoples their beloved USA destroyed. I would like to hope that the healthy forces of Georgian society will find the will to become masters of their fatherland and its destiny.

And yet, in 2018, Russian citizens left three and a half billion dollars in Georgia. What have anti-Russian radicals achieved? Georgia will feel this when hotels, restaurants, cafes, and beaches are empty,” writes Kadyrov.
