Kadyrov admired Putin's response to the Japanese Prime Minister
Russian President Vladimir Putin today at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok demonstrated a vivid example of political humor during a discussion with the Japanese prime minister, says the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.
At the forum, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe spoke about the improvement in the well-being of Japanese pensioners.
“There was a study on the walking speed of Japanese people, and it turned out that 75-year-old Japanese now walk at the same speed as 10-year-old people walked 65 years ago. That is, it turns out that Japanese old people and elderly citizens of our country have become 10 years younger over these 10 years. I can vividly imagine that in this way the assistance of the country of Japan will help as many Russian grandparents as possible to walk freely,” Abe said.
In response, Putin joked: “They started walking faster in Japan,” Abe said. In Chechnya and Dagestan, people walk at the same pace, but the birth rate is three times higher than in Japan. The question is what to spend the energy on.”
“This statement by Vladimir Putin caused thunderous applause. I am sure that it will be included in the collections of famous quotes and aphorisms of our president,” Kadyrov rejoiced.
