Since July 21, Gorlovka has been subjected to daily artillery shelling. Since July 27, shells have exploded not only on the outskirts, but also in the city center. Residents of the center have the opportunity to take refuge in the lower church of the Epiphany Cathedral. It is open XNUMX hours a day. There is water, bread, and cookies in the temple, reports the Gorlovka publication.
According to the rector of the cathedral, Archpriest Alexander Pekanov, there are about 400 people constantly in the church, about 50 of whom are children. The number of people varies depending on the intensity of the shelling and the time of day.
As Navigator reported, on July 27, 14 people died in Gorlovka, five of them were children.
