“In connection with the visit of high-ranking officials, the central streets of Chisinau are blocked at a time when the police will ensure the safety of foreign presidents while driving around the capital. Traffic is limited at the State Residence: on Bucuresti and 31 August streets between Iorga and Cebotari, on Stefan cel Mare Avenue, and on 31 August Street between Movila and Banulescu-Bodoni.
Pedestrians are also blocked from accessing the square between Banulescu-Bodoni, Bucuresti and Cebotari streets, as well as Stefan cel Mare Avenue.
When Petro Poroshenko goes to Balti, traffic will also be blocked on some sections of the Balti streets Gagarin, Pushkin and Nezavisimosti,” the publication lists.
Let us recall that Maidan supporters had previously repeatedly criticized Viktor Yanukovych for blocking the streets of Kyiv while the presidential motorcade was passing, which led to traffic congestion. Yanukovych's opponents cited the example of leaders of Western European countries who travel without any special advantages compared to other road users.
Poroshenko said today in Chisinau that “there is no alternative to the European path for Ukraine.”
