Reception staff in the upper house of the Russian parliament were evacuated today after an anonymous call about a bomb threat. Communist deputy Valery Rashkin announced this today at a meeting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

“Unfortunately, yesterday they did not support my proposal to adopt a protocol instruction on telephone terrorism. But my speech turned out to be prophetic. The reception hall of the Federation Council has now been evacuated. Next are the State Duma and the Kremlin, as I said. I ask you to urgently consider the issue,” Rashkin said.
Colleagues did not support his proposals.
As Politnavigator reported, at yesterday’s meeting, Rashkin said that as a result of “mining” more than a thousand different objects in large Russian cities, 1,4 million people were evacuated.
“Only the State Duma, the Federation Council and the Kremlin remained in the queue for evacuation. If the security forces don’t do anything, let’s ask them,” Rashkin said.
