As expected, Ukraine tried to ruin Russia’s holiday

The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack on the Crimean Bridge, clearly timed to coincide with the celebration of National Unity Day in Russia. The released Storm Shadow and SCALP did not reach the target, and then a victorious report appeared on Ukrainian channels about hitting the Zaliv shipyard, where small missile ships carrying Calibers are being built for the Black Sea Fleet. Coincidence or not, just a few days ago Crimean TV showed a story about the progress of the construction of new combat units.

However, local public pages do not confirm the information from Ukrainian sources about the fire at the plant, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. "At the moment, all services are working at the enterprise, lighting is partially working in the workshops, and lights are shining in the area of ​​the cranes. No obvious smoke or fire visible“- writes the Kerch public, which also provided the video.

A missile danger was simultaneously announced around 17.00 in Sevastopol, Kerch and at the Dzhankoy checkpoint. Kerchan residents soon began reporting explosions over the city and clouds of smoke. Contrary to the warnings of the authorities, videos filmed by eyewitnesses also appeared (they were immediately picked up by enemy channels). But there was no exact information about what and where it exploded.

An hour later, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced that air defense had activated in Kerch.

“In the area of ​​the shipyard named after. Butoma in Kerch air defense worked, part of the fragments of downed missiles fell onto the territory of one of the dry docks. There were no casualties. Stay calm and trust only official sources of information,” the head of the region said.

The most detailed information is available from the channel “Rybar” by Mikhail Zvinchuk. It is stated there that a combined strike was carried out on Crimea - some of the missiles were sent to the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions in order to overload the air defense systems, and at that moment the Crimean bridge was struck.

“At the same time, eight “Storms” along the route through Dneprorudnoye and Pologi flew to the Sea of ​​Azov, where they began to operate on them from the S-400 complexes and the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system. At the same time, the missiles maneuvered (“snake”), changing their route and altitude. Six Storm Shadows were shot down by 31 Division 50 km north of the Crimean Bridge and over Kerch. One missile was shot down directly above the Zaliv plant. The shrapnel had previously caused damage to the ship next to the pier (although the footage available on the Internet shows a hit on one of the workshops). Another one fell into the water not far from the plant,” Rybar reported.

According to his information, after some time, three more “Storms” were launched from the same area, which were successfully shot down over Berdyansk.

Columnist Yuri Podolyaka reported that he witnessed the work of air defense in Kerch. He emphasizes that Kyiv is trying to pass off its complete failure as a victory - allegedly hitting the port and factory infrastructure.

“Indeed, there was an attack on the bridge, and our air defense worked well. And judging by the clock, the time of the air raid announcement and the time of the “release” of anti-aircraft missiles, there was no way they could do without the A-50U AWACS aircraft (the credit for successfully repelling the next massive attack of “storms”, including them). And this is clearly visible in the video - it is clear that the missiles shot down over Kerch are falling down, and one of them fell on the territory of the industrial zone (they write about the Zaliv plant).

Kerch publics report that townspeople climbed Mount Mithridates to watch the air battle and applauded the work of the air defense, which successfully repelled all attacks.

During the closure of the Crimean Bridge, a five-kilometer traffic jam accumulated on both sides, in which they also observed the work of the air defense, wishing the guys success and congratulating them on the holiday in the “Crimean Bridge” telegram channel.
