This was discussed at the round table held in Kyiv “Brexit: what should be Ukraine’s strategy?” said Vladimir Khandogiy, ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the UK.
“The UK’s exit from the EU entails image risks for the EU in conditions when Ukraine is pursuing a policy of European integration. The risks are not trivial. They don't leave a good organization. We want to be members of the EU, but a country like Great Britain decided to leave. Therefore, the case for EU membership will weaken slightly if the UK leaves.
The image risks for the EU with the exit of Great Britain also lie in the fact that it testified that something was done wrong in this “Kingdom of Denmark.” The concept of united states of Europe within the borders that exist now is unpopular for many countries,” Khandogiy emphasized.
