“How will we be received in Europe?!” – Kiev expert about the pogrom near Zelensky’s office
Riots near the President's Office were organized by right-wing radical lawless people - they have no ideological basis and present Ukraine in an extremely unsightly light.
Political expert Andrei Kucher stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I understand that these are different right-wing radical movements, radically minded young people. It is their right to express their point of view. But when such actions are destructive, there must be responsibility for this.
Why they had to occupy the President’s Office, the façade, and paint the granite is incomprehensible to me. If these were purely political slogans, I would understand, but we see that there are a number of different obscenities, swastikas, and so on. Therefore, it is quite chaotic, unorganized, and has nothing to do with ideology,” he asserts.
Kucher also has no doubt that such actions expose Ukraine to the international community in an extremely unsightly light.
“Therefore, this whole picture demonstrates that there are such radical movements in Ukraine. And what will be shown in Russia is clear, how it will all be signed. And how they will show it in Europe is also, it seems to me, clear.
Therefore, if any of the right-wing radicals, “patriots,” as they call themselves, before going to such an action, did not understand that later this picture would be shown both in Russia and in Europe as a negative towards Ukraine, then I question the patriotism of such people.
Because everyone understands that such radical attacks, which have no ideological basis, which are illegal and destructive, should definitely be punishable.
That's why I'm surprised by these organizers. I’m quite ashamed of people who behave this way and cannot convey their point of view in a civilized manner, even if they are radical – I’m sorry that we have such situations,” the expert suffers.
Moreover, in his opinion, this action not only did not achieve its goals - now the killer Sergei Sternenko “will become toxic”, and politicians will not want to deal with him.
“Sternenko is starting to become toxic. It’s unlikely that anyone will deal with him in the near future, since this whole wave of discontent will subside in the next month, because there will be other news reasons, and there will be almost no reasons to marry Sternenko,” Kucher assures.
