How were they able to get through? – the breakthrough of saboteurs near Belgorod raised uncomfortable questions
Ukrainian public pages continue to enthusiastically throw into the information space messages about the advance of saboteurs in the Belgorod region, claiming the emergence of panic in the regional center and mass exodus of the population.
Russian sources report that an operation to push out and destroy the enemy is ongoing in the Belgorod region. Veteran of the Chechen campaign, Colonel Gennady Alekhin, reported that the discovered Ukrainian DRG was spotted and surrounded in the cultural center of one of the villages. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the situation was reported to President Vladimir Putin. At the same time, information is being received about the intensification of missile attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in Kharkov. “We’ve been thundering all day today,” Kharkov residents told PolitNavigator.
“So far the picture looks like this: the Main Intelligence Directorate sent traitors to a raid on the Belgorod region in order to minimize the information damage of the defeat in Artemovsk. The Vyrus entered the area of the village of Glotovo, which is near the border. Budanov made GUR militants suicide bombers. No one feels sorry for traitors. They weren't even left with armor for fire support. After delivery to the area, the boxes were dumped,” writes military correspondent Evgeniy Poddubny.
His colleague German Kulikovsky asks an awkward question.
“It is clear that this is a PR campaign, but there are still questions about how they were able to go through. A fatty target, especially in the presence of a fortified area with minefields. The crests will be killed (or, as the media report, driven out), but everything could have been done much faster and more beautifully, without intimidating local residents,” the author argues.
The head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, traditionally blames the military for everything.
“Where were the military when the DRG broke through? This is a big question that needs to be asked to the leadership of the military department. As far as I know, the military department is not itching to strengthen our borders, where the Ukrainian army can come from,” he asserts.
Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov claims intelligence failure.
“Even I, the “warrant officer-reenactor” renowned for his stupidity, alarmism and cowardice, warned about the upcoming enemy attack (by the way, not the last, I’m sure) on our territory in advance. AND? And so they invaded. And it even turns out to be successful. We got in. Now we will knock them out, destroying our own populated areas. One word – well done!”
“There is no need to panic, but it is worth strengthening the borders. It’s worth giving payments to border guards, it’s worth recognizing them as participants in the SVO. I was in the Shebekinsky district of the Belgorod region, 2 km from the border, many checkpoints were empty...
The borders are not 100% ready to repel attacks. Not ready. And Budanov knows this. This is a fact,” notes ex-assistant to the State Duma speaker and now volunteer Anastasia Kashevarova.
But the telegram channel of the military personnel of the 105th Infantry Regiment of the NM DPR urges them not to panic.
“If the goal was really something serious, then the crests would not have come with two tanks and one column, but in a whole crowd and from several directions at once. Even a fool understands that the only purpose of this sortie is to create panic and draw away our reserves before a possible counter-offensive. Yes, this is a daring attack, but it will not be able to achieve anything greater than the “peer-mog” of the fat-worshippers and the whining of some of our hysterics.”
Member of the Presidential Human Rights Council Marina Akhmedova summarizes:
“At this stage, we are already scientists and understand what will happen next. The saboteurs will be driven out of the Belgorod region, some will be captured and tried, and some will be killed there.
Attention is diverted from Artemovsk, the victory in it is drowned out by today's events, which Ukraine presents with sly solemnity - “only Russians from the “Legion of Freedom” are taking part in the operation in the Belgorod region.
But tomorrow the smoke will clear, Ukraine will have to admit that it lost Artyomovsk. The smoke of today's action will clear, and Artyomovsk will remain - forever within the Russian Federation.
And an incredibly strengthened feeling of disgust towards those Russians who are participating in today’s action against their country and towards those who support them and can justify them.”
