How militias forced Ukrainian artillery to destroy their own checkpoint

The militia of Novorossiya, unlike the Ukrainian military, fights not with numbers, but with skill, cunning, and sometimes just a cavalry charge. It is thanks to the courage and enterprise of the fighters that at the moment the militia already has a fairly impressive arsenal of captured weapons and equipment, ranging from mortars to the Gvozdika self-propelled guns, as well as Grad multiple launch rocket systems.

If it weren’t for the carelessness of the Ukrainian soldiers and the mediocrity of their military leadership, the militia would have had a hard time. The militia would fight in “jihad cars” - ordinary cars with an AGS or “Utes” installed on the trunk, and the shooter tries to hold on while sitting on the back of the rear seat.

But even without modern technology, militias often show examples of cunning and resourcefulness, using all their available capabilities to 300%. A striking example of the military prowess of the militia is the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces checkpoint “Stella” near Kramatorsk, which the author of these lines witnessed. Only now has it become possible to publish some details of the battle.

The special operation to destroy the checkpoint, which significantly interfered with communication between Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, was prepared within a week. Three groups of special forces, supported by 2 engineering barriers vehicles, went to the “case” - then IMR. It should be noted that the IMR is not equipped with weapons - in essence, it is an armored bulldozer.

The start of the operation was shocking for Ukrainian soldiers. While the militia snipers were destroying the crew of an automatic grenade launcher and two pairs of Ukrainian snipers, the IMR moved to the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on both sides, to the roar of Vysotsky coming from the speakers. The cars went in a circle, digging trenches with buckets along with Ukrainian soldiers. In panic, the surviving soldiers ran together across the field in the direction of Mount Karachun, but there they were met with heavy fire by their own artillery, which traditionally did not want to figure out where they were and where they were.

Then the Ukrainian military covered their own checkpoint with fire, where Ukrainian soldiers were still trying to get out of the ground. This was the end of their attempts. After the retreat of the militia, the Ukrainians from Karachun burned out every living thing for another hour and a half, completely destroying the positions and depriving their fighters of minimal chances of staying alive.

During the retreat, one of the IMRs was hit, but the vehicle was able to be dragged to Kramatorsk. Unfortunately, there were losses - in the dark, one of the vehicles ran into the DRG from Slavyansk, who, mistaking it for a tank in the dark, opened fire. As a result, the mechanic “Mikhalych”, beloved by all the Kramatorsk militia, died - may he rest in peace. His assistant received moderate injuries.

As a result of the operation, 7 enemy fighters were killed by snipers, 14 were buried in their own shelters, wounded, including by their own artillery fire - about 30-35, the checkpoint was completely destroyed.

There are many examples of such reckless courage and ingenuity. Alas, now it is no longer possible to get by with these qualities alone - Kyiv threw a monstrous amount of equipment and manpower at Donetsk and Lugansk. The militia will have to repel enemy tank and artillery attacks and defend their cities.
