How the Pope deceived Patriarch Kirill in Ukraine
While the Pope diligently poses as a “dove of peace” - talks about dreams of meeting with Patriarch Kirill, touring the holy places of Russia, serving at the Donetsk airport - his direct subordinates in Ukraine are compensating for this “zrada” with an equivalent degree of militaristic rhetoric. Thus, the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) tried not to fall off the agenda of the general hysteria about the never-begun aggression of the “aggressor country.”
«Ukrainian priests ask for support as Russian threat grows». So entitled CatholicPhilly resource (USA) report on the fears and hopes of Ukrainian Catholic clergy, who, as a rule, are Poles, most of whom came from the “Bile Pospolita” itself. It is no coincidence that the author speaks from Warsaw about Ukrainian priests who «turned to Western church leaders for support ahead of the widely anticipated Russian invasion».
The main fear from «widely expected invasion" (a masterpiece of propaganda art, you will agree - D.S.) does not, however, consist in the sacrifices that the war brings, and not even in the “severe consequences for Ukrainian statehood” (which Putin warned lovers of provocations about in advance). Priests are not very comfortable in "uncertainties" regarding whether "how Russian forces will treat their Church». Of course, there are reasons to fear (as we will show below), but not from the “Russian forces”, but from the grateful population of the “South-East”, where the mentioned characters actually serve.
“The [Catholic] Church is unlikely to be outlawed or forced to close its dioceses, admit the RCC ministers. – But its clergy will be sharply reduced, since Polish priests will be forced to return home, and Ukrainian priests will be forced out». Who, I wonder, will oust them? “Russian priests” or what?!
However, following the example of their Tauride colleagues, Catholic priests are already ready to accept Russian citizenship. In the meantime, the courageous pastors of Ukrainian Catholics are asking for prayers for peace and... material support. After all «tanks and army units already deployed at our borders»!
But if the Russian armada is still only on its borders, why has the museum of the “Ukrainian-Russian war” been operating under the pallium of the RCC for a year? It was discovered, of course, not at the site of the “liberation battles of the Ukrainian army” somewhere in Kramatorsk (where they know very well who “fought with whom”), but in the very heroic west of Ukraine (which, in fact, gives the largest percentage of evaders from “ Nenki's zahystu").
The establishment is located in the cathedral church of the city of Khmelnitsky. One of the premises of the religious building even recreates “dugout with conditions in which military personnel live at the front». Museum called upon to become "a place for lessons in courage - a place for “patriotic education”». It is not reported whether the program includes a course in looting, “squeezing” the private property of illegal Ukrainians, rape (this is already within the scope of the subject “sexual education”) and similar necessary skills for “soldiers of good”.
It is clear that in fact, this is one of the types of proselytism (the desire to convert city residents to one’s faith). The church was originally Polish and for local Poles. But assemble for the opening of a museum for a “common prayer” for the grief-stricken relatives of the dead “Atosh soldiers” and the surviving “cyborgs” - the surest way to draw them into Catholicism. And to give the “veterans” abandoned by the state a feeling of being in demand in the form of tour guides and lecturers.
And the “panotsi” themselves, the organizers of the museum, have sufficient experience in proselytizing in the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. What a blessed thing it is to use humanitarian aid from the Vatican Bank to catch the souls of the inhabitants of a “land blackened by grief” (I apologize for quoting V. Vysotsky in this context). In the Kyiv-controlled territories of Donbass for the sixth year acts “Christian Rescue Service” based on the “Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary” of the RCC. The mission of this office is “evangelization","the spread of the Kingdom of God in Ukraine, and especially in the territories covered by war" etc. and so on.
And this while the Pope and the Patriarch of Moscow signed the Havana Declaration, которая “excludes any form of proselytism” and, thus, Catholic preaching in the canonical territory of the Russian Orthodox Church, which includes both Ukraine and Donbass.
However, immediately after the “triumphant” Havana meeting in 2016, the papal nuncio to Ukraine saidthat is sent to the war zone "to help those suffering on behalf of the Pope" At the same time, he admitted that he doesn’t care much whether this kind of “help” will be regarded as proselytism. The “apostolic” nuncio compared the Havana meeting itself and the triple kissing of its participants with the kisses of Judas (and, therefore, having the same price).
So, of course, there is every reason to fear that the Latins from Donbass may soon be asked to come. And the local population still remembers very well in whose train the papists found themselves. There are still those who know about the methodological developments of the times of Alexander Nevsky.
