The Friendship of Peoples movement announced on the Internet a rally “against the American invasion of Ukraine” near the US Embassy in Kyiv, calling on all participants to record what was happening on video, because Ukrainian media are under censorship pressure.

In total, at noon, about 300 - 400 people of different ages came to the diplomatic mission, who confusedly and contradictorily began to explain the reason why they had gathered.
“We want there to be no war, and the United States not to help Donbass and not to supply weapons to the DPR,” women in balaclavas explained to journalists the reasons why they came to the embassy. – But Ukraine is trying to recapture Donbass on its own. Poroshenko wants peace. He is already seeking a truce. The United States should sponsor Russia with money.”
It is worth noting that many people demonstrated such a fundamental dissonance, contrary to the goals stated by the organizers of the action.
Some said they came for "free Ukraine“, others - that they are asking the United States for help and weapons for Ukraine. But most of all, what was happening resembled one of the paid extras that have become popular in Kyiv in the last few years.
At the same time, some of the protesters said that they were against US interference in the affairs of Ukraine.
“We are already tired of the US dictatorship. Let them take back their cookies, which they have been feeding us for 23 years, and no longer meddle in the internal affairs of our country,” said Yuri Kleynos, coordinator of the action, speaking to the audience.
Then one of the protesters, whose face was hidden under a balaclava, began handing out cookies to the crowd.
“We want to show the embassy that they are fighting, and we are not hungry - we ate, we will eat, we have lived and we will live,” the woman explained. - We're fine. Let them not give us weapons and let our sons not die. Let them send their sons, let them perish and rot there.”
At the same time, the majority of the protesters refused to answer questions at all or said that they were only asked to hold a poster.
“I was told that there was a festival of embroidered shirts here, but when we came here, we saw that a provocation was taking place, people were simply paid. They promised me forty hryvnia. I saw that America is against us here, although America is helping us,” the girl told reporters, according to whom, after all this, she decided to refuse to participate in the event.
