How pogroms in Georgia are related to the provocation of Ukraine near Kerch
Anti-Russian pogroms in Georgia were provoked by the United States; Mikheil Saakashvili’s party is only an instrument.
Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Leonid Kalashnikov said this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is absolutely obvious to me that Saakashvili’s party was behind this, which, first of all, got excited. Three days before the Interparliamentary Assembly met, I saw what was happening in the media. They said: we won’t let the Russians in, we won’t let them in, we’ll give them a dressing down here. The visit on the first day was quite peaceful, but on the second day these provocations began, which resulted [in clashes], and it is very easy to set people on fire,” said a representative of the Communist Party.
TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov noted that it was not only in Georgia that people were “excited” on the eve of the meeting.
"Michael Carpenter writes (Advisor to US Vice President Joe Biden - ed.): “I spent only three days in Georgia, I’m not sure that the government fully understands the consequences of the open door policy with Russia. With so many “tourists” (ahem, FSB) and lands being bought up by Russian businessmen, they may wake up one day and discover not 20, but 100 percent of the occupied territories,” Solovyov quoted and added that therefore he would not write everything off for one Saakashvili.
“Saakashvili is the instrument that carries out this provocation. There are several tasks there - they began to forget something about Georgia, as the former president of Ukraine said about Ukraine. The Europeans did not give so much, but they began to forget. The same provocation in the Sea of Azov (meaning in the Kerch Strait) - they began to forget something,” commented Kalashnikov.
