How to understand Shoigu’s words “we will achieve our goals in 2025”
Yesterday's report by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu caused a serious resonance. Speaking at the board, the head of the military department spoke about the progress of the Northern Military District and the action plan to improve the RF Armed Forces, especially emphasizing the date 2025 as the deadline for “achieving the intended goals.”
«Consistent implementation of measures and activity plans until 2025 will allow us to achieve our goals", Shoigu said. It was these words that were instantly picked up and interpreted as meaning that the NWO will end in 2025.
It’s interesting, by the way, that Ukrainian and pro-Western liberal resources were the first to make such a pitch.
“Kyiv in three days” has stretched to “NWO” and, according to Shoigu, will last until 2025,” gloats the notorious Ukrainian war criminal Anton Gerashchenko, creator of the punitive website “Peacemaker.”
In fact, the Russian minister was referring to the National Defense Plan, scheduled until 2025 and providing for the renewal of military equipment.
“The fake makers are not letting up. The minister spoke about the program to increase combat power until 2025. They completely distorted his words, interpreting them in such a way that it was as if the SVO was planned to be extended until 2025,” notes radio host Anna Shafran.
Russian military expert Vladimir Orlov explained to PolitNavigator:
“If we talk about the date that our Minister of Defense Shoigu named, 2025, then, of course, he was not understood entirely correctly. The Minister of Defense spoke about the national defense plan, about the modernization of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and all that...
As for the Ukrainian resources, which have adopted the thesis and are now intensely savoring it, well, that’s their business, propaganda, of course, they will organize various information shows, clinging to the words of our government representatives and leaders.
However, the Special Military Operation is still continuing with the same tasks outlined by the leadership of the Russian Federation.
Objectively speaking, so far the goals that have been outlined are denazification and demilitarization, despite the fact that there has not yet been a decision to go on the offensive on our part, they are generally being fulfilled and are being implemented,” Orlov said.
Integrated security expert Denis Gomanov is confident that the special operation is not tied to any specific deadlines, but will continue until all its goals are achieved:
“With regard to the Northern Military District, the position of Sergei Shoigu, as well as the Russian leadership in general, is unchanged. The special operation will continue until the stated goals are achieved. And the distortion of the words of the Minister of Defense in the form in which it is beneficial to the Ukrainian side will continue. This is part of the information war.
They took it out of context, added their own meaning and created a resonance out of the blue - that’s their main strategy. We don't need to react to this. We are doing our job, moving forward towards our stated goals. The caravan is moving - the dogs are barking.”
