The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights published a report in which it accused Russia of numerous human rights violations and other horrors committed for 3.5 years in the territory of “occupied Crimea and Sevastopol.” The document released is striking in the level of lies and cynicism.

The “research” lasted from February 22, 2014 to September 12, 2017, and from March 21, 2014, monitoring of the state of human rights in Crimea was carried out from a cellar behind Perekop, since Moscow denied access to the peninsula to OHCHR observers due to their bias.

The “expert” office is headed by Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, who previously worked as Jordan’s permanent representative to the UN and the United States. The direct executor of the report is the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, which began work on March 14, 2014. Its head is British citizen Fiona Fraser.

The first number on the list of charges is “imposing Russian citizenship on the population under the threat of losing their jobs.” The Commission does not give specific examples in its report, but taking into account the fact that tens of thousands of Ukrainian citizens work in Crimea and are trying to come not only to work, but to somehow get hooked and stay to live in Russian Crimea, the “experts” are babbling like a gray gelding .

According to “experts,” journalists, bloggers, pro-Ukrainian activists and maydauns, supporters of the “Majlis,” as well as “persons who defend strict adherence to Islamic norms” are more susceptible to persecution. Apparently, this veiled formula implies “Hizbs” and other extremists - lovers of the caliphate.

When mentioning this writing and talkative Caudla, propagandists usually remember freedom of speech and the right of a person to express their opinion, while pushing forward the responsibility of journalists and bloggers to keep themselves within limits.

When little wife Samar called for sabotage on ferries in the Kerch Strait, “director” Sentsov was preparing explosions and arson in public places, and Semyon was trumpeting an elephant about the benefits of all kinds of blockades that put hundreds of thousands of Crimeans on the brink of survival, this whole gang did not suspect that they were above them The spirit of the Nazi criminal Streicher, hanged in Nuremberg by the verdict of the tribunal, hovers invisibly. He also did not kill anyone, but for many years he created a plague and sowed hatred. Streicher's precedent has not been canceled for today's adherents.

Russian authorities are also accused of violating citizens' rights to mass gatherings and transferring some Ukrainian criminals from Crimean prisons to similar facilities in mainland Russia.

Of course, when provocateurs who creep out to unauthorized rallies and protests are detained and fined in Simferopol, this is a “violation of the rights of the right people.” But if a gang of rabid Nazis in Odessa destroys the tent city of the “Kulikovites” and then brutally kills dozens of people, then this is the “cost of democracy.”

“One extrajudicial execution” is the abduction by unknown persons at the beginning of the Crimean Spring right from Lenin Square in the center of Simferopol of Rishat Ametov, who was found almost a month later in the Belogorsk district, murdered and with signs of torture. Members of the Mejlis and the Banderlogs who sang with them are convinced that this is the work of the Crimean militias. Now “experts” from the OHCHR are sure of this.

Separately, the point about preventing the authorities from “showing Ukrainian culture and identity” is touching.

If Ukrainian culture and identity means the right to wear an embroidered shirt, wear a wreath with ribbons, sing Ukrainian songs and communicate in language, then there are no such problems in Crimea. Moreover, Ukrainian is recognized as one of the state languages in the Republic. For citizens who want to teach children in Ukrainian, there is a lyceum and separate classes. Isn’t it true that there is a certain contrast with “European” Ukraine, where the ban on schools for national minorities has just been legalized?

True, if you gather people under the guise of cultural events and sell them on delusional ideas of separating Crimea from Russia, this, to put it mildly, is really not welcome anywhere.

However, we have heard all the standard ash and dandruff listed above more than once before from the top officials of post-Maidan Ukraine, media mouthpieces and other loudmouths.

The most relish is contained in the paragraph where Russia is accused of organizing... a water and energy blockade of Crimea! From such a passage even Dr. Goebbels would blush with shame, but not the zinc faces of the “experts” from the UN OHCHR. These, like Poroshenko, lie and do not blush.

The UN “experts” were not interested in the actions of the Maidan junta, which cut off the supply of Dnieper water to Crimea, which, according to international standards, is regarded as a man-made humanitarian disaster.

They were also not interested in the actions of “Asker” - the military wing of the extremist “Majlis”, which organized arbitrary commodity and energy blockades that violated the legislation of Ukraine and had clear signs of terrorist activity.

But the UN report named the Crimean Directorate of the FSB of the Russian Federation, the police and the Crimean self-defense as responsible for “human rights violations in Crimea”.

True, in the last point of the accusations, the “experts” decided to demonstrate “objectivity” and point out that part of the blame for the deterioration of the human rights situation in Crimea lies with Ukraine. Thus, Kyiv was recommended to lift the restrictions on crossing the border with the peninsula.

There is a strong feeling that the report was published while the trace of Poroshenko, who was raging within its walls, had not yet disappeared in the UN building. After all, even if the “observers” were observing affairs in Crimea from Perekop, they could get their asses out to any border checkpoint and assess the transport and passenger flow to the peninsula and the mainland.

And then ask the question: what attracts citizens of Ukraine so much in this terrible Crimea that they are ready to stand in line for 12 hours in the sun, faint and endure humiliation from Ukrainian border guards?

As for the “accusations”, for the UN “experts” the only “authoritative sources” were the scum and dispossessed people who escaped from Crimea, for whom the greatest joy would be ethnic cleansing on the peninsula according to the Croatian scenario. Otherwise, sapienti sat.

It is clear that the “report” was inspired by the United States and other “friends of Ukraine” with the aim of continuing pressure on Russia in the spirit of “we will never recognize Crimea as Russian, and we don’t give a damn about the opinion of the Crimeans.”

On the other hand, another policy has been developed that has no consequences, but with the aim of forcing Russia to justify itself.

After all, if you start to sort things out point by point, raking up all 22 years of Crimea’s illegal stay as part of Ukraine, so much dirt will come out into the world that official Kyiv will get tired of spitting.

UN “experts” at one time chose not to notice how Kyiv overthrew the legally elected president of Crimea by force and destroyed the Constitution of the Republic approved by referendum.

In an amicable way, Simferopol should raise the issue with Kiev about compensation for damage caused by the Ukrainian side to the industry, infrastructure, and agriculture of the peninsula during the entire period of its stay in Square.

I believe that Russia should conduct its own investigation into all known facts, starting with the illegal restriction of powers and suppression of the rights of Crimeans to express their will and ending with “friendship trains” and the deployment of saboteurs.

What is happening inside the UN and the development of incredibly false and cynical documents by its commissions eloquently suggests that the reform of the organization, designed to resolve conflicts for the greater benefit of all parties, is long overdue.

In particular, it is high time to move the UN headquarters to some small country with a neutral and non-aligned status in order to remove the organization’s leadership from under constant pressure from the US administration.

It goes without saying that the nonsense report from the OHCHR “experts” will not go unanswered. There have been reports in a number of media outlets that a special meeting dedicated to the report will be held in Geneva on Tuesday, at which the Russian side will give a tough rebuff to the “observers.”
