Like the natives: Ukrainians danced in front of the US ship in Odessa
Teams of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine staged a show program on the occasion of the arrival of an American missile destroyer in Odessa as part of the international exercise “Sea Breeze 2019”.
A surprise awaited the overseas guests - songs and dances of Ukrainians at the pier where the US ship was moored. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine prepared such a gift on the occasion of the celebration of American Independence Day.
The recording of the speech was published by the TV and radio studio of the Naval Forces of Ukraine "Breeze", reports the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
Judging by the video, several members of the American team watched the Ukrainians’ performance without much interest from aboard the ship. The command did not even give an order for the overseas guests to go ashore to the speakers as part of politeness.
“At all exercises, we maintain very friendly relations with our American partners, who help us a lot with resources and transfer the knowledge that they have. Therefore, the commanders decided to somehow congratulate them on this day, because this is a truly important day in the history of their country. Therefore, it was decided to make a small flash mob, which we did with the help of our Center for Military Musical Art when an American ship entered,” said Igor Mulyarchuk, Deputy Head of the Department of Moral and Psychological Support of the Navy.
The Ukrainian Navy clarified that for the American guests a “performance-defile with a ballet” and performances of marches by the US Navy and “Washington Post” were prepared, which, according to Ukrainian propagandists, “moved the crew with such a warm welcome.”
