“...the monument to the founders of Odessa (Catherine II) and the monument to Suvorov in the manner prescribed by law are under state protection as objects of cultural heritage were not accepted, which means to accept measures for their dismantling, there is no need to obtain special permits in the Ministry of Culture or other bodies for the protection of cultural heritage.”

Above is the Central Committee from an appeal to the City Council and Mayor Gennady Trukhanov of the Odessa Military Administration. Yes Yes, the same one led by the commander of the punitive battalion "Aidar", a thorough cultural specialist - this is noticeable not only in his frontal lobes, but even in the way he pronounces “Ga” - Maxim Marchenko.

“...the monument to the founders of Odessa (Catherine II) and the monument to Suvorov are under protection in the manner prescribed by law...

And the texts are written to him by his shoulder press secretary, a chronic alcoholic, Sergei Bratchuk, who once built a career on the slogan “Thank you to grandfather for the victory” on the staff of the ATV television company, owned by the leader of the pro-Russian Rodina party, Igor Markov.

And the appeal was signed by the first deputy head of the OVA, Boris Voloshenkov (an Aidar member, apparently, only knows how to sign with a cross - it’s still difficult with a trident).

I won’t go into the wilds of the Odessa political garbage dump, I’ll just explain that a whole dynasty of the Voloshenkov family worked and works in the regional state government - in the past, loyal Leninists, and until the last Maidan - the brightest representatives of the Party of Regions, who privatized the “struggle for the Russian world”. Moreover, in an aggressive form.

"…administration recommends considering the issue of dismantling these monuments”, follows from the address of the gang of these “principled” people.

Also, “principled people” refer to a certain public organization “Association of Volunteers of Odessa Region”, specially created for provocations (they are, they say, “real Odessa residents,” and they demand the demolition of the empress and the commander).

In previous materials I have already mentioned these false figures in connection with the fact that they regularly write to the Odessa Gauleiter. Recently they demanded "recognize the need to remove from public space monuments dedicated to individuals who took an active part in the implementation and propaganda of Russian imperial totalitarian policies, as well as the persecution of fighters for the independence of Ukraine».

Among the main propagandists and persecutors of Ukrainians were Pushkin, Tolstoy and Gorky (for some reason the writers Gagarin and Pirogov were forgotten).

However, God be with them, with the scoundrels - it’s understandable, they are hired to portray "the best people in town". But as for the military administration, there is no doubt about the “consistency” of its employees - back in the spring, some of them called the terrorist defense gangs, and then suddenly they transmuted.

And in “adequacy” - they give orders there without stopping, because they are waiting for arrivals every second, but they need to drown out fear. And, of course, in business - it was necessary to scatter mines along the beaches so that people were constantly blown up on them!..

And most importantly, they specially put forward their demand for the demolition of Suvorov and Catherine on the eve of City Day - by September 2. It dates back to 1794, when Catherine the Great, “subject to demolition,” issued a decree on the founding of Odessa. And if the mayor’s office does not react, then the military may also take the initiative to spoil the people of Odessa.

As for Trukhanov’s answer, there is none. Let me just remind you that the other day in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, speaking about the monument to Catherine II, he said:

“I am against the demolition of monuments. Even if we destroy monuments, history will not change... With this approach, should I demolish monuments to Pushkin or Gagarin? This doesn't make any sense."

Later, however, Trukhanov stated that this interview was a fake. Although it was published not only on the newspaper’s website, but also on the Internet resources of Trukhanov himself. And he called only part of his words about “compromise with Russia” fake (in fact, they are also in the interview). But I didn’t even argue with the fact that I was against the demolition of monuments. So how can we get out of it now?..

In the meantime, everything is moving towards the fact that for the first time in the history of Odessa, City Day will not be celebrated on September 2.

In any case, there is no talk of any program of festive events on the official page of the mayor’s office. But acts of humiliation and coercion against Ukrainians are quite expected - demolition of monuments, for example. Although in this situation... what about those monuments? What’s worse is that the occupiers are accustomed to marking dates that are alien to them with human sacrifices.
