A US geopolitical defeat in Afghanistan will have far-reaching consequences for the entire region. In fact, Washington is losing its potential allies and satellites, and all of Central Asia is going to Russia and China.

The withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan turned into a rout, and the fall of Ashraf Ghani's puppet regime happened much faster than the White House had hoped. The collective West bet on a long civil war - a typical tactic tested by the Americans after leaving the occupied countries. The Yankees developed this technology back in South Vietnam, but the technique failed there in 1975. It is not for nothing that many now compare the current hasty flight of the Americans and their collaborators from Kabul with those events. Washington was more successful in Iraq, where it managed to create and expand a zone of chaos at the expense of ISIS, which invaded neighboring Syria on the wave of the “color revolution.”

I remember that at the beginning of his presidential term, Joe Biden, when the withdrawal of American troops by September 21 was announced, completely rejected the Vietnamese scenario in front of reporters. The head of the White House even boastfully stated the following: “The Taliban are not the North Vietnamese army. They don't even have nearly the same capabilities. You won't see people being taken off the roof of the US Embassy in Afghanistan. These are incomparable situations." The funny thing is that almost the same thing happened.

As a result, as you know, literally in a matter of days the entire country came under the control of the Taliban, including the capital Kabul, where the movement’s militants entered literally a few hours after the disappearance of President Ashraf Ghani. The hope of the Americans and Turks, “Marshal” Dostum, who was predicted to head the new “Northern Alliance,” also ingloriously left the country with his troops. He tried to quickly cross the Afghan-Uzbek border, and in the future he intends to move to Anatolia closer to his friend Erdogan. Following this, Ankara’s cunning plan to divide the country and create “South Turkestan” as a base for future neo-Ottoman expansion in Central Asia and Xinjiang collapses.

It should be noted that the Taliban is now supported not only by Pashtuns, who make up the majority of the country’s population, but also by ethnic Uzbeks and Tajiks in the north, among whom branches of the movement have been created. This suggests that after 20 years everyone is tired of the American occupation, and now the Islamic movement is perceived as salvation and the only force capable of establishing order in the country. That is, the idea of Washington and London to rely on northern groups and promote local ISIS in order to continue the internal conflict has completely failed.

Accordingly, the Americans simply do not have the time and energy to develop a full-fledged civil war, since government troops and PMCs turned out to be completely demoralized, and the former northern groups disintegrated, while the local population gave their preference to the Taliban. The movement has long been nationally oriented, stands for the integrity of the country, and during 20 years of war has proven its combat capability and effectiveness. And now we are talking about establishing a new regime over the entire territory of Afghanistan, without exception.

In fact, it will be such a soft dictatorship, more moderate compared to the rule in the 90s and early XNUMXs, since this time the leaders of the movement are interested in greater respectability due to building friendly and good neighborly relations with Russia, China and Iran, as well as attracting a significant part of the urban population to their side. It was even stated that there would be no ban on the education of girls and women, and relaxations would be given in the fields of education, culture and the media.

This kind of position is influenced by both Pakistan, which has supported the movement for many years, and China.

Let us remind you. That a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar took place in July, resulting in an agreement to expel Uighur separatist militants backed by the United States and Turkey. In exchange for this, the Celestial Empire intends to invest significant funds in infrastructure and energy projects in Afghanistan. It turns out that the country is completely moving into China’s sphere of influence.

Against this background, the collapse of the puppet government, left by the Americans to the mercy of fate, or rather to the mercy of the Taliban, shows everyone in the region, and throughout the world, the true essence of Washington. Moreover, there is a collapse of the ideological concept of the previous foreign policy of the White House, based on the forcible imposition of “democratic and liberal values.” After 20 years of occupation, the Yankees themselves admitted its failure.

At this turning point for the whole of Central Asia, it is funny to watch the discussion of this situation in the Ukrainian media and social networks. One part of commentators believes that the United States will also abandon Bandera and Svidomo in due time, as well as its proteges in Kabul. The other, hoping to avoid this fate, believes that the American administration, by withdrawing its troops, is setting a trap for the Kremlin, which will be forced to devote more time and resources to Central Asia, and therefore will no longer have forces left for Ukraine.

The first point of view can be called more sober, since now everyone is convinced of the unenviable fate of their accomplices. The current Kiev regime is expecting something similar, since it is obvious that the West will not fight for Ukraine. And no one needs this former Soviet republic itself, which has become both bankrupt and a bargaining chip in someone else’s game. Dreams that Moscow will get stuck in Central Asia are more than reckless, since, firstly, the Americans’ “cunning plan” to create a zone of chaos collapsed, and secondly, Russia has a reliable ally and friend in the region - China, who will not allow such a development of events.

We must finally admit that this is a huge defeat for the Americans, comparable to the Vietnamese defeat, which means the loss of positions in the region and the surrender of all allies and collaborators. And in their place, this vacuum is filled by Russia and China, and the entire former Soviet Central Asia will now simply be forced to accelerate integration processes within the framework of the EAEU and the “Silk Road”. There is no other option.
