How did great people deal with failure?

However, the subsequent turns of his fate are known to everyone and become another proof of the benefits of perseverance and willpower.
Darwin, after a quarrel with his father, gave up his career as a doctor and was completely sure that the whole world saw him as a crazy and ordinary person. Socrates also had a reputation as an “immoral molester of youth,” but this does not prevent us from remembering the philosopher’s works in our time and reading into his every word.
Everyone was probably told about the failures of Thomas Edison at school. His teacher once spoke about the great scientist in a completely unflattering manner, saying that he was too stupid and incapable of learning anything. Edison lost his first works due to unproductivity, but the inventor knew how to set goals for himself and did everything possible to ensure that they were achieved. He later stated that he did not fail 1000 times, but simply went through 1000 steps to invent the light bulb.
Henry Ford failed five times before he was able to found his great empire, a similar story was that of Frank Woolworth, the founder of the sporting goods store empire, and Roland Macy, the director of the famous Macy's in New York.
Albert Einstein was considered by everyone to be mentally retarded. He said his first word at the age of four, but learned to read only at seven. At school, Einstein was characterized as a boy unadapted to social life, who was detached from the world and was in a world of self-created fantasies. Later he was even expelled from school and was not accepted into the Polytechnic University. The future author of the theory of relativity experienced problems with written and oral speech all his life, but did not stop learning and working on his skills.
